São Martinho Sugar mills
São Martinho is among the largest sugar and energy companies in Brazil, with an approximate crushing capacity of 24 million tons of sugarcane. It has four plants in operation: São Martinho, in Pradópolis, in the region of Ribeirão Preto (SP); Iracema, in Iracemápolis, in the region of Limeira (SP), Santa Cruz, located in Américo Brasiliense (SP) and Boa Vista, in Quirinópolis, 300 kilometers from Goiânia (GO). São Martinho's units renewed to 2018 the Green Energy certificate, issued by the Bioelectricity Certification Program. The company's plants have been certified since the launch of the initiative in 2015, which was conceived by the Sugarcane Industry Union (UNICA), in cooperation with the Electricity Trading Chamber (CCEE), and with the support from the Brazilian Association of Energy Traders (ABRACEEL).
The Green Energy Seal is the first certification in Brazil focused strictly on energy produced from sugar cane and attests that companies generate renewable and sustainable electricity for their own consumption and for the National Interconnected System (SIN).
São Martinho Group plant data: 12 thousands empolyees ; 300,000 hectares of agricultural harvesting area, 24 million tons of sugarcane grinding; 820,000 tons of sugar storage capacity; 700,000 m³ ethanol stock capacity, approximately 100% mechanized harvest, over 4 million trees planted.

About Sao Martinho Mill
The São Martinho Plant, located in the city of Pradópolis (SP), is the largest sugarcane processor in the world, with crushing of 10 million tons / crop. Founded in 1948 and with almost 5,000 employees, the unit stands out as a reference not only for its size, but also for excellence in its agro-industrial processes.
Different management programs, continuous training of teams and harmony between the agricultural and industrial areas, guarantee the unit greater productivity with competitive costs.
Its high rate of mechanization, one of the largest among the largest in the sector, and its concern for the environment are references in the sugar-energy market. The unit developed the "Viva a Cana" program for sugarcane protection, and maintains the CEA (Center for Environmental Education), a support structure and dissemination of environmental preservation aimed mainly at students and the community.
Another strong advantage of the unit is its logistics area, which brings competitive advantages such as bulk sugar storage and the existence of an internal railway branch, which allows the transport of its ethanol and sugar production by train to the Port of Santos, combining practicality with lower costs.
The São Martinho Plant also houses the CSC (Shared Services Center) of all São Martinho, providing better management of the company's business.
About Iracema Mill
Located in the city of Iracemápolis (SP), in the Limeira region, one of the first development centers of the São Paulo sugar industry in the last century, the Iracema Mill has over 70 years of experience in ethanol and sugar manufacturing and currently has a processing capacity of 3 million tons of sugarcane per harvest. The proximity to the Port of Santos gives the unit a relevant logistics differential for the export of its production.
In recent years, Iracema has received from São Martinho investments that updated its industrial plant and modernized the management of the agricultural area. New equipment in the industry and in the field, combined with an intense professionalization and training program of its more than 2,000 employees, has transformed Iracema into a plant prepared to overcome the current productivity challenges of the sugarcane industry.
Social actions are developed, mainly in the municipalities of Iracemápolis and Limeira, in addition to continuous environmental management work, which involves strict controls of their production processes, as well as the effective recovery of riparian forests and preservation areas, and the reuse of waste generated in the production processes.
